System & Hardware Requirements
Supported devices: MD Field Mapper Pro requires an iPhone Pro model with LiDAR. That means iPhone 12 Pro / 12 Pro Max, 13 Pro / 13 Pro Max, 14 Pro / 14 Pro Max, and 15 Pro / 15 Pro Max. Non-Pro iPhones are not supported.

Why Pro only? The app’s mapping relies on on-device LiDAR for surface geometry and alignment. Only iPhone Pro models include LiDAR.

TRS ↔ TRRS patch cable
Connects your detector’s headphone/line out (TRS) to the phone interface (TRRS, CTIA).
Cable lengths are personal preference. Shorter runs reduce snagging.

Lightning Pro (12/13/14 Pro)
- Detector headphone out (TRS) → MV-RC300 attenuator
- → TRS↔TRRS cable (CTIA standard)
- → IMA-1 Lightning interface → iPhone Pro
USB-C Pro (15 Pro and newer)
- Detector headphone out (TRS) → MV-RC300 attenuator
- → TRS↔TRRS cable (CTIA standard)
- → UCMA-2-IP USB-C interface → iPhone Pro
Detector settings & cable order: start with low volume. The correct chain is Detector → MV-RC300 → TRS↔TRRS → Phone interface → iPhone Pro. Avoid wireless paths; if available, disable AGC/limiters on the detector.
